Appliqued Quail Pot Holder | Hot Pad

Handcrafted, original design. This 8×8 inch pot holder is appliqued with a charming little quail. A delightful departure from my usual flower designs, this quail is also an important visitor to the garden. A twill loop sewn into the back makes hanging it easy for storage or display. Lined with a double layer of 100% polyester needlepunch batting, providing both flexibility and excellent insulation. Backed with a complementary fabric, making it both beautiful and practical for any kitchen.

Each pot holder is handcrafted individually. This is not a mass-produced item, and the individuality of each piece adds to its charm. My free-motion applique work is done on an old, reliable zig-zag sewing machine, with details like closing turned seams stitched by hand. In some cases, a different fabric may be used, but it will be a comparable color.
